Worldwide Hotels Invests Over S$7 Million to Transform Value Hotel Thomson into Days Inn by Wyndham Singapore Novena

Former Value Hotel Thomson to undergo an extensive interior refurbishment before reopening as Days Inn by Wyndham Singapore Novena on 1 July 2026

Singapore, 1 January 2026 Worldwide Hotels (WWH), Singapore’s largest homegrown hotel group, today announced the transformation of Value Hotel Thomson into Days Inn by Wyndham Singapore Novena, marking another significant milestone in its strategic partnership with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the world’s largest hotel franchising company by number of properties.

To facilitate the transformation, the hotel will temporarily close from 1 April to 30 June 2026 to undergo a comprehensive refurbishment. The hotel is scheduled to reopen on 1 August 2026 as Days Inn by Wyndham Singapore Novena, following an investment of more than S$7 million by WWH.

The refurbishment reflects WWH’s continued commitment to enhancing the quality of its portfolio while introducing internationally recognised brands that elevate the guest experience. Located in Singapore’s established Novena district, the hotel will bring the trusted Days Inn by Wyndham brand to one of the city’s key healthcare, business and lifestyle hubs.

The hotel will have 365 rooms and undergo a comprehensive interior transformation designed to deliver a significantly enhanced guest experience. The extensive refurbishment will include:

  • Complete refurbishment of the hotel lobby
  • Complete refurbishment of the lift lobbies and lift interiors
  • Complete refurbishment of all 365 guestrooms
  • Complete refurbishment of the Level 7 swimming pool deck, with an additional outdoor gym known as the Circuit Training Zone
  • Replacement of the existing Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV) air-conditioning system with a new water chiller system to improve guest comfort, energy efficiency and operational performance

Upon reopening, guests can expect a refreshed and contemporary hotel designed to provide greater comfort, functionality and convenience. Combining WWH’s deep understanding of the local market with Wyndham’s globally recognised hospitality standards, Days Inn by Wyndham Singapore Novena will offer dependable, quality accommodation for business, leisure and medical travellers.

Ideally situated in the Novena precinct, the hotel enjoys convenient access to leading healthcare institutions, including Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital and Thomson Medical Centre, as well as shopping malls, public transport and a wide variety of local dining options. Its strategic location makes it an ideal base for both international and domestic travellers seeking comfort, convenience and value.

“The transformation of Value Hotel Thomson into Days Inn by Wyndham Singapore Novena represents another important step in strengthening our partnership with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and reflects our ongoing commitment to investing in our portfolio,” said Carolyn Choo, WWH’s Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director. “By combining our local expertise with Wyndham’s globally recognised brand, we are creating a modern hotel that delivers greater comfort, enhanced facilities and dependable hospitality for today’s travellers, while further strengthening Singapore’s accommodation offering in the Novena district.”

The transformation forms part of WWH’s long-term strategy to continually refresh and reposition its portfolio to meet evolving traveller expectations. Through strategic investments and internationally recognised partnerships, WWH remains committed to delivering quality hospitality experiences while supporting Singapore’s continued growth as a leading global tourism and business destination.
